HailStorm hit Atlantis on launch pad

When I visited Kennedy Space Center March 5 2007, the space shuttle Atlantis was on the launch pad. It was scheduled to go up some time end of march. But around Mar 2 or 3 it was hit by a hail storm and the launch had to be cancelled. If you see this photo in larger version, you can see the scars on the External Tank (the orange one). This photo was shot from a distance of 5000ft. It was an amazing sight. The shuttle is on the otherside of the tank.
